FLIGHT ANGELS

Our flight angel program is an important part of who we are. We work with rescue partners throughout Canada, as well as in Bahrain, St.Maarten, and Mexico. We're occasionally looking for people to fill the role of a flight angel and help bring dogs home safely. This can be done through careful coordination with an already planned vacation.  We will help with the arrangement for the dog and reimburse you for the cost of the dog's flight including any customs expenses.

We work with our rescue partners in Northern Quebec and Manitoba, as well as Mexico, St. Maarten, and Bahrain to bring dogs to Toronto to be rehomed throughout Toronto and surrounding areas.

What is needed from you and how does it work?

Hopeful Tails will coordinate all the arrangements for the dog including paperwork, and get everything set up for the flight. What's needed from you is simple! All that's required is a few extra minutes of your time, both at the departure end and again at arrivals when you land at Pearson. 

When you are getting ready to depart from your location, you will be met by the shelter volunteers who will provide you with everything you need to board (the paperwork, but most importantly - your furry companion). Once you land at Pearson, you will need to pick up the crate and - if you were on an international flight - proceed to customs. After clearing customs, you will be met by a member of our team who will take things from there! We do our best to make things as simple and effortless as possible for our flight angels.
 
Flight and any custom expenses for the dog will be reimbursed. Hopeful Tails is grateful for your time and support in helping ensure a successful placement and adoption of a deserving dog.
