Marlow's Story

Our rescue was contacted by Mississauga Animal Services for placement of a Rottweiler puppy in their care. At only 8 weeks of age, Marlow was dumped in a park alone, afraid and without the necessities of life. Thankfully a citizen found her before the coyotes did, and turned her over to MAS. There was clearly something seriously wrong with Marlow and she needed immediate medical attention. She was ultimately diagnosed with Puppy Strangles. It is an autoimmune condition that can be fatal if not treated. Once the condition is cleared, it will not return.

Fortunately, with the correct medical treatment, Marlow was able to make a full recovery. She has found her furever home and has a whole new glow to her! A huge thank you to the amazing team of volunteers and vet partner that helped Marlow through her journey.
